John,
A while back you indicated that you would be developing a help tool for visual basic similar to the help tool for XCL. are ou any further in developing this tool or has it been sent to the scrap heap?

reason I ask is now I need to learn to do code instead of sheets.

I did have an idea that I could generate VBA code from a spreadsheet calculation and I thought it would be quite useful. However there are also some issued that crossed my mind:

all the variables would have to be defined as variants which is not particularly efficient code. Having thought it through

I think it is pretty easy to write in VBA and I was not convinced my approach would add much value to the process.

So I guess it is on the scrap heap. If you need any help writing VBA I'll gladly help and there are a few VBA enthusiasts using the site that would help out too.
