I am using XLC Ribbon version 13.09 and it working correctly. What version of the program are you using and is it the Toolbar or Ribbon version of the program?

I installed the Toolbar version last September and the then the Ribbon version yesterday. I didn't remove the Toolbar version as I assumed that would be automatic. I was using the Ribbon version at the time. The list of add-ins is as shown on the attached. Should I delete/remove the one marked "XLC Addin for Excel"? I assume "Xlc" is the Ribbon version. Is there any other information that may help?

I should keep the ribbon version of the program going if possible as it is the most up to date version.

"XLC Addin for Excel" is the ribbon version of the program

"Xlc" is a remnant of the toolbar version which used to hold the the XLC functions. You should not need this any more and may un-check it.

So is the ribbon version processing the text as described in the help?

I managed to untick the "XLC" Add-in and the "XLC Addin for Excell" only is ticked. The Toolbar version doesn't display (as planned) but in spite of my efforts to remove "XLC" from the computer (it didn't pop up in the list of programs to be Uninstalled) by deleting the files it is still there as an Addin that can be 'ticked'.
The Text Processing problem still exists - but to convert the text "A|_b" isn't really necessary as converting "A_b" works fine achieving A with b subscripted. I think the text, in the video, to be converted may be incorrect - that is should "A|_b" read "A_b". Cheers Brian
