Hi, I thought I'd have a go at producing some calculations using XLC and as I am teaching the topic of Combinations and Permutations I used these formulas to have a go.
I was able to name the variables n and r easily enough and I was able to do the formulas using OVD() and UND() functions but as the formulas use factorial, which has the formula FACT() in Excel, when I use the "show equation" button it prints is using fact and not the exclamation mark notation for factorial which we use in Mathematics and Statistics.
Also the notation for Combination that we use frequently is nCr where the n should be superscript and the r subscript. Can I do this?
I know these calculations are very basic stuff but this is about as hard as some calculations get in High school maths!
Hope someone can help
