Formula format with Excel 2007 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 5
Hi John,
ExcelCalcs is great. I've had some problems at home with formatting.
I am using Windows XP and Office 2007 at home. I have Windows XP and Office 2003 at work. My problems are at home and do not show up at work.
See the attached picture and file. Formatting of the formula is not working.
Best regards,

Hi Clyde

I am running with Excel 2003. I have yet to upgrade to Excel 2007 so I am afraid that I cannot test this out for myself. However I think I have enough clues as to what may be going wrong from your plots. I have just added a few lines of code to XLC version 06_07 that might sort out your problem. Please download the latest version and let me know if it is any better. Thanks for reporting this in Clyde.

Cheers
John

Hi John,
Sorry to report that there is no difference in 06.07 see attached. However, I can save the 2007 (.xlsx) as a 2003 (.xls) file and use the redraw feature and all is well.
Best regards,
Clyde

I am glad you have found a work around Clyde but I think I will have to get a copy of office 2007 to look into this in more detail. It could be a while though Clyde I am busy trying to clear my desk before I can get away for my holiday. Thanks again for reporting it in.

Hi Clyde - I have a copy of Excel 2007 now on a new machine and I have just installed XLC. I just don't see the XLC toolbar. Toolbars are replaced in Excel 2007 with the office ribbon. can you tell me how you managed to show the XLC toolbar in 2007 it is not at all obvious to me.

Hi John,
I'm at work now and will have to check when I get home. Until then try "Office Button|Excel Options|Add-ins". This is from the attached file under the "Tools" tab.
