As stated in previous post:

Office Button|Excel Options|Add-Ins

The office button is the logo button in the upper left corner.

I have managed to follow you so far and I see that both the XLC.dll com object and XLC.dll are listed as correctly installed addins. My problem is that XLC.dll creates the XLC toolbar but toolbars are not allowed in excel 2007 they have been replace by something called the ribbon.

I think that I need to write some more code to generate a ribbon inequivalent of the XLC toolbar and introduce a new XLC 2007 addin which may take me some time.

If you have managed to show the XLC toolbar in Excel 2007 I would be very interested in how you did this. I would be also very interested in how you managed to create equations in Excel 2007 because it has stumped me.

Thanks again for your help Clyde.

John,
Of course, we just upgraded to Office 2007 as well at work. I have got the same issues as Clyde.
It was very easy to use the toolbar, just click on the "Add-ons" tab and the XLC toolbar pops up in the top ribbon (no other toolbars are seen at this point).

I could easily use the program just as I did when I was using Office 2003, the only difference being the equations don't look as nice as they did in 2003 version.
The equation doesn't read properly (look at attached examples, I did a screen capture then put the two into one picture). If I just open a file saved in 2003, it looks fine but when you redraw it in 2007, its got issues.

I hope my picture helps you, let me know if you need anything else.

I hope the fix is something easy, I just started using XLC a few weeks ago and it is awesome!! Great job John!!

Regards,
Eric Wider

Thanks Eric for your comment. I am still having trouble getting my Excel 2007 to work with the XLC toolbar but I think this is a problem specific to one pc. I am going to install on another machine to see if I have the same problem. As soon as I get it working I think I'll be able to solve the problem pretty quickly. Please bear with me.

OK when I installed Excel 2007 and another machine XLC installed with no problems. So I now have exactly the same problem as you guys with the presentation of the equation objects. It seems that Excel 2007 handles graphics slightly differently to Excel 2003. I was hoping for a quick fix but I have not found one yet. At least I am getting down to the problem. Please bear with me a little longer whilst I try to sort it out.
