Why does my status bar disappear?

When I reactivate it why does it display the last XLC messsage and nothing else?

This is a definite bug I am afraid that I have never noticed because I set my status bar to be hidden. I'll patch it up as a priority and post a new download in the next couple of days. Please bear with me and I'll get back to you. Thanks for reporting it in.

Thankfully a quick fix - download and reinstall version 06.07. I would be grateful if you could let me know if this resolves your problem.
