XLC not showing in Excel 2010 64bit 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hello,
just installed XLC on Win7 Ultimate / Office 2010 64bit (both Italian), but I cannot see the add-in in the ribbon.
I have even tried registering manually the dll, with success, but no add-in toolbar again.
Lastly, I tried to uninstall / reinstall but again with no luck.
I am attaching a screenshot of the Excel add-in list where Excel Calcs is mentioned.
Can you please help?
Thanks,
S

Hi Simorag. I am afraid that XLC is not compatible with the 64 bit version of Office 2010. The download page reads:
WARNING: XLC works for Excel 2000, Excel 2003, Excel 2007 and Excel 2010(32-bit version) on all Windows operating systems including 64-bit versions of Windows. XLC does not work with Excel 2010(64-bit version). This is a common problem for all Excel add-ins (see article). The only advantage of Excel 2010(64-bit version) is that you can access more memory and work with larger datasets. Our advice is to install Excel 2010(32-bit version) rather than loose the additional functionality brought to you by XLC and other add-ins.

I appreciate that you may well be disappointed with this news and I am happy to refund your subscription. We have some longer term plans to develop a version of XLC which will work with 64 bit Excel 2010 but this could take some considerable time.
