Randy there are a couple of calculations that you will find interesting:
Clevis-and-lug-design-V0001.xls - Calculation of stress concentration effects at a pin and clevis joint. It is not the Melcon & Hoblit/Bruh/Niu method and does not cover pin bending but it uses the method outlined in Peterson's "Stress Concentration Factors"

Biaxial Stress Assessment.xls - Combination of stresses in a biaxial stress system. Calculation of principle stresses, maximum shear stress and stress intensity. Plot Mohr's circle on chart. Mohr's Circle is used to visualize relationships between normal and shear stresses. Assess against various failure criteria.
I used the Melcon & Hoblit method years ago but I am afraid I have loast the papers covering the method. I would be keen to see it encoded in a spreadsheet.
