I am using Windows Vista and Office 2007. While I can register XLC.dll and I can use the functions in Excel (using the Add-Ins menu), the XLC toolbar does not appear and I was wondering if there is a way in Excel 2007 to add it to the ribbon or somehow customize the menu to make the XLC commands appear in a toolbar.

Thanks,

Are you installing using the setup.exe in the zip file. After installation you'll see XLC in the ribbon under Add-Ins (see below).

If you can't see it then the xlc.dll is not registered
if you get a name error with the xlc functions OVD(), UND() or EQS() then xlc.xll is not installed as an addin for excel.
Let me know what is working and what is not and I can help you more from there.

I am using the setup file and running it as an administrator. I have the XLC add-in installed in Excel, but I do not have an add-ins tab. Mine stops at View. is there a reason for this?

Thanks,

John,

Do you have to be logged in as an administrator for XLC to work? Reason I ask is as a standard or limited user, the Addins tab does not display, but as an admininstrator it appears. Is that a requirement for using XLC on Vista? Just wondering.

Thanks,

That's a Vista thing - only administrators can install software. XLC has no user privilege requirements.
