In the display of the "Sqrt" symbol is missing the horizontal top line, how can I do to looks as shown in the tutorial?, only I got is the "V" shape of at the beginning. Thanks

Thanks for reporting this in duco123. I don't seem to have any problems using XLC large SQRT symbols in either Excel 2003 or Excel 2007 (see image below and file attached). I suggest that you download and install the latest version of XLC and check again. If you still have problems could you attach the file so that I can take a closer look.

I have the same problem in Excel 2002 and 2007, XLC 0108

I appear to have the same problems with the square root sign display. I have just downloaded the latest version and installed it with Office 2007.

I have attached the XLS file.

Any suggestions as to what is going wrong with my set up?

It looks like you just need to use the OVD() and UND() functions to draw parts of your equation OVer the Division line and UNder the Division line.

Enter "=SQRT(OVD(5+3)/UND(2))" into a cell, display the equation and you'll see the big SQRT symbol.
