negative Powers Issue 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 2
I have been using XLC for a little while and have come across what i think is an issue.

I have a formula that contains a negative power i.e. 5.52 x 10^-14

XLC gives me the same value as typed (5.52 x 10^-14) and does not remove the caret or superscript the -14. If I remove the minus sign it works correctly but obviously the formula is now incorrect.

Do you have any ideas.

Regards
Chris Dale

Hi Chris
I am aware of this and it is on my to do list. Its actually a little problematic but I'll nail it soon. You'll have to just bear with me until my day job calms down a bit. I'll keep you posted.

Hi John:

To add to what ChrisDale has reported,

if working = 1 is chosen in the EQS function, the exponent is not superscripted for numerical values regardless whether the numeric value is positive or negative. I have included an image for reference ...

Thanks Yogia (nice to hear from you again) - I had not noticed this either. Please bear with me, it may take some time before I can get round to fix it. I'll let you know when I do.

Hopefully all these issues are addressed in XLC version 03-08.

Just a couple of glitches ironed out in version 03-08 build 03. Got there in the end.
