Hi John:

Thanks for pointing out to me that the add-in works with EXCEL 2000 and newer versions. VBA, however, was introduced with EXCEL 95 version.

I bow to you better knowledge yogia. I have had to just check a few things. In Office 2000, Microsoft created a new add-in architecture, called a COM Add-in, which was common to all the Office applications and the VBIDE. XLC is a COM Add-in thus it requires Excel 2000.
