I am a registered user, but I am still being limited to 2 downloads per day. And yes, I am logged in when I try to download from the repository. Is there something else I am not doing properly?

Sorry about this roofguy - I think you are right. I have made some changes and you should be fine now. Let me know if you have further problems.

Even as registred user downloads seems limited to just a few ones per day - and certainly not 6 per day as mentioned on registration intro.
Another hereto related issue: When more precisely is ONE day beginning and terminated?

Thanks for the question Lars. Let me try to be as clear as possible on this:
ExcelCalcs allows 2 downloads for an anonymous visitor (i.e. not logged in) and 6 for a registered visitor (i.e. logged in). Each visitor is identified by their computer IP address. The limit is per 24 hour period.
There may be a problem if you share an IP address with another user you'll only get 6 per day between you. That's the only explanations I can offer for why your downloads have been restricted.

Initially as unregistered user my allowance was just 1 download per session. I have just retried my observation and the result came out unchanged. In other words; no. of dowloads were exactly half of the downloads permitted. Not a major problem to me personally, but something to control and bring in conformity.
The 2nd point may call for further clarification. The 24h 'range' is that backwards counted; i.e. max. 6 downloads the last 24h as registered user? That would make sense.

Hi Lars
As an administrator I see a log of downloads and I can see that today you downloaded
DL today 06:27 SIMEQN.xls Lars Harild
DL today 06:26 Quartic2.xls Lars Harild
DL today 06:25 Quadratic Equations.xls Lars Harild
DL today 06:25 Quadratic Equations.xls Lars Harild
DL today 06:24 POLYNOM.xls Lars Harild
DL today 06:24 POLYNOM.xls Lars Harild
So for some reason it shows you have downloaded some files twice (was this by accident). You appear not to have downloaded the same file twice consistently (see SIMEQN.xls and Quartic2.xls). This probably explains your factor of 2
You can take 6 download per 24 hour period. So when you request a download the site software checks how many you have had in the previous 24 hours. So I'll see you again 06:30 am tomorrow? I hope this helps.
