currently XLC equations have the following layout

a=10=b+c [equ1]

This looks ok, but doesn't quite conform to the traditional layout (i.e. working on the left and result on the right). I think it would be a good idea to allow an optional look as follows

a=b+c=10

Post edited by: DaveC, at: 2007/03/17 00:05

Our Equations are constructed from three spreadsheet cells. One cell becomes the name holder the next cell to the right is the cell with a cell formula displaying a calculated value. A third cell points holds the EQS() formula where the equation graphic is located.

To generate the display you would like I guess I could introduce another function which names the cell to the right and displays it. I'll think about bringing it into a later version.
