My gear calcs are on excel sheets, but I'm afraid I've no time to convert them to XcelCalcs format.

Mike we'll be happy to host any of your calculations. We do prefer to see XLC equations, this just makes the maths more easily readable. If it is sensible to do so you can always include the XLC content at a later date and up-issue the calculation. We'll give any of the calculations you upload a forum link so that members can discuss them.
