John,
I just updated to the latest XLC v. 3.08 and was attempting to create a forumula from the Add-in menu ribbon common in Excel 2007. I keep receiving an error message that the version I am using is an old version and that it will direct me to the Excel Calc website to download the latest version. This is the latest version.
I read one of the posts on the forum and tried first to uninstall the version that I had on the computer which was successful. I had to download v. 3.08 again and I reinstalled.
I also went through the Excel options to find all add-in's and .com add-in's to make sure that I removed everything that referenced XLC before I reinstalled.
After downloading the latest version again, I installed it and started Excel back up. I found the XLC ribbon in the add-in menu and highlighted a cell to create the formula. I received the same error message:
"Your copy of the ExcelCalcs Add-in is old and you need a new copy. You'll be directed to
www.excelcals.com website where you can download a new updated copy for free."
I still can not get it to work. Should I be rebooting my computer before reinstalling (which I will try) so as to unload any DLL files still loaded that can not be overwritten?
Thanks in advance.
Dennis
