I have taken quite a few emails too explaining how inconvenient the XLC expiration is for large companies. If I could ask you to put up with it for just one more time and I will bring out a commercial non-expiry version before the next expiry date on 27th September 2008.
The main reason for expiration is to force everyone to run the latest version. XLC has changed much over the last year since its launch. Bugs have been ironed out and functionality improved. However I have not had a bug report for a long time now and the product is robust and bug free so maybe the time is right to release a non expiry version.
This is my first web site and I have learned a lot about how they work. Originally the concept was a kind of Math Wikipedia with everyone contributing but if I am honest apart from some notable exceptions I am underwhelmed at the few calculations that users upload. New calculations keeps the site alive and buzzing so I want to encourage calculations in other ways.
In addition users rarely use the the Amazon links and thus far I have received one cheque from for $100 from Amazon.com and none at all from the other Amazon domains. I am grateful for about 10 donations amounting to about $200. Google ads bring in about $50 per month but I have been unsuccessful in getting any paid sponsors for the site. So financially its a spectacular flop. That said I am pleased with the 26000 unique visitors per month and the popularity of the XLC and I think there is a sound base to develop. My prime motivation has not been financial but I think that funds will help to develop the site and site content.
My current thoughts are for a free XLC version for educational use only and a commercial use version of XLC for users who pay an annual subscription (XLC pro). XLC will not expire but a release code on the 'about XLC' form will set it to XLC free or XLC pro. I will also offer free annual XLC pro subscriptions to users who donate good calculations. I have some work to do to implement this so please bear with me.

I updated to the new version. I have the 03.08 version with "expires on 9/27" as stated in your reply. However, now the "Select all shapes on worksheet button" does not seem to work.
Thanks for the great work you are doing you and an excellent tool.

That seems strange BahirDar it works fine on my version. I have checked in a second machine too and it still seems fine. Can you check again? First of all there needs to be some graphical objects on the page (lines textboxes, xlc equation). Press the 'select all shapes on work sheet button' and they should all be selected.

My apologies - I should have tested more and explained it better before posting.
OK - I have one spreadsheet with multiple worksheets.
Sheet1 - where the function "Select all shapes on worksheet" works
Sheet2 where the function does not work.
I created a brand new spreadsheet with a couple of formulas. The "Select all shapes on worksheet" function works.
I copied (edit - select all - copy) the data from the worksheet where the function does not work and pasted it into the brand new spreadsheet. I applied the show equation then the formula shows. However the select shapes does not work on it either.
The only thing that worked for me was copying the items row by row and pasting it into a brand new worksheet.
I wonder if anybody else had similar issues.
Thanks,

Seems weird - can you attach the spreadsheet so I can take a look?
