Hi,
I am facing a problem with some of the Files
e.g. Welds - Fatigue / Non Linear Material properies curves
While I open these file, I get an error message of
File Error : Data May be Lost. After OK click file can be opened but No Images / Graphs. This happens with WinXP / MSOffice2000 / Latest XLC version.
The same files can be opened in MS2007, is this something to do with MS Office version ? Many other files can be open without any problem on MSOffice 2000.
Please help !
Thanks,
Nidhee

Nidhee I can't find the download you are referring to but I have noticed the same error appearing myself on occasions. The file error is nothing to do with your version of Windows, MS Office, MS Excel or XLC I think it is an issue with how files are stored in the ExcelCalcs Repository but I do not know why it appears.
I would like to reassure you that when I have had this error message the calculation has behaved perfectly normally. I have managed to save the file locally and upload to the site again and then the error message does not reappear. It would be useful if you could send me a link to the file that has given you this problem and I'll take a look into it.
Thank you for reporting this in. The site is so large now I rely on users telling me when they have problems so I can't correct these types of glitches.

Nidhee, This is strange because I downloaded all the file and did not get the "File Error : Data May be Lost" message on any of them. I know that I have seen the error in the past however. Without being able to reproduce the error I can't investigate the problem. In nay case, as I said in my previous post, I think in any case this error message can be safely ignored.
