There are probably quite a few areas where we don't conform to standard mathematical notation e.g. tan^-1 will be written as ATAN(). Whilst it is feasible to rewrite certain functions I don't think I want to start because I think it could become fraught with problems and complexities. XLC equations might not always conform to mathematical standards they are at least unambiguous. I'll leave it that way for now.
