You can convert any calculation so that it is readable by Open Office's Calc program of course.

1) In Excel Use the "Delete XLC Functions" button on the toolbar.
2) Same as XLS document.
3) Close Excel.
4) Open Calc
5) Open the XLS document you have just created.
6) The calculation functions perfectly well in Calc but you cannot redraw any equations.

If I had more time I would like to develop an Open Office Add-in too but I don't know how I will find the time.
