OK, no email received as yet. I will chack in a little while.

Got the new smaller XLC Bata, but I get a ZIP error, 'it does not appear to be a valid archive'.

Success. After a restart it has installed.

Found it in Excel Add-ins but no XLC Toolbox?

Whilst XLC can be found under Add-ins, it does not appear under Customize/Toolbars.

It's a new function to me, I will do a little more digging.

Mmm Looks like I am still having problems with the install program. If you can't seem the toolbar then I think XLC.dll has not been properly registered with windows.

Follow these instructions to register maually:
1) goto start button and select "run"
2) type in "cmd" this will get up a command prompt window.
3) Navigate to the xlc install directory (use "cd" commands)
4) check using "dir" that two files are present XLC.dll and XLC.xll
5) Register XLC.dll by typing:
"regsvr32 XLC.dll"
you should get a message saying you have suceeded in registering.
6) Hopefully you can see the toolbar

The install program has been updated to automatically install XLC.xll so this should never be a problem again (hopefully).

Post edited by: BoJosley, at: 2007/02/10 15:35
