"CLIPCONN.xls" is a MS-Excel spreadsheet program for analysis of
beam end connections using double-clip angles per AISC 9th Edition
(ASD). Clip angles may be either welded or bolted to beam. The
outstanding legs are assumed to be bolted, and may be connected to
either a column flange, column web, or girder web. Beams may be
subjected shear and/or axial load (assumed tension). All potential
limit state failure modes are investigated for capacity and compared to
the loads. Beam flange copes, either top or top and bottom are also
addressed if applicable. There is an additional worksheet to compute
uncoped beam shear capacities for connections using either welded or
bolted clip angles.
All the worksheets are independent and self
contained, so that you can move them from one workbook to another. All
the worksheets are protected, but not with a password.
