More and more engineers see the benefit of using Excel with the XLC addin making it our most popular download. Given ExcelCalc’s predominance of engineering calculations what would you expect the 2nd most popular download to be?... Well it seems that engineers just wanna have fun because Yakov Polyakov’s Excel Sudoku is at the number two spot (don’t let the boss know). In terms of shear volume of downloads Alex Tomanavich is King. His most popular download, BEAMANAL.xls, is released as a metric version this week (see link below). We are very grateful to all our contributing authors.

Your Subscriptions – Thanks to all users who have renewed their free XLC Ed subscription with a paid subscription. Your support is helping to fund development of XLC and the ExcelCalcs site. Currently we are working on a new XLC release that will automatically redraw equations (no need for manual redraws and your equations will always reflect the current calculation). We are also implementing a new equation 'speed input' method (type “s=u*t+0.5*a*t^2” and XLC will set up Excel automatically). We are very ambitious in our development plans for XLC and we’ll keep you posted about progress in the newsletter.
