Running Win 7 and Excel 2013.,.followed all tips is Read Me file but still can't get XLC to load.

Very frustr4ated!!

Hi Roger sorry you are having some difficulty installing the software. Firstly did you install the the ribbon version of XLC and not the toolbar version (this is only intended for Excel 2003).

If for some reason you did download and it did not install correctly may I suggest you find the installation directory (usually C:program filesXLC) and search for a file called XLC.xlam. Just open this file in excel and you should be good to go.

Roger and I spent some time looking at this problem over the phone and I managed to take a look at his PC using TeamViewer. It seems that Excel can be installed without VBA (this is the first I have heard of this but is documented on the Microsoft site). Obviously without VBA XLC will not run nor will any Excel add-in including the ones supplied by microsoft (Solver.xlam). Roger is re-installing Excel and hopefully this will remedy the problem.
