A formula is corrected in Rev. 2.1. Version 2.0 was a major revison of the version 1.0.

The file calculates, FOR ESTIMATING PURPOSES, the shell thicknesses and weights of tanks as per the API 650 (2003) from the requested net volumes and the pumping/overflow conditions.

There are 50 tank calculation sheets available. A guide explains how to navigate and how to input the data. There is also a sheet listing the allowable stresses for the most popular North American steels.

The particularity of this version is the ability to optimize (minimize) the tank weights, by varying the dia./height ratios, thanks to the SOLVER.XLAM addin.

The file is bilingual English/French and contains macro instructions.

Have fun!

I have just moved this comment from the Version history thread in the forum to the comment area where such comments should be raised.

Hilvern

Hello Mr. Barnéoud,

I did not have access to your file that looks very interesting, but the impact should be minimal, I wanted to know if there were plans to update the light version 12 (2013) of 'API650?

Thank you for your info.

Hilvern
