ASCE705W Wind Loading Download

Well, after dragging my feet on this one for quite a while, finally here it is....."ASCE705W.xls" (version 1.0), a new spreadsheet workbook for wind loading analysis per the ASCE 7-05 Code. This workbook is obviously similar in form and function to the previous workbook based on the ASCE7-02 Code, since I used that one as a template/go-by to create this new one. However, I have added a couple of new things to this workbook, which hopefully will increase its usefulness.
First, in the "Stacks & Tanks" worksheet it now addresses more cross-section options by allowing the user to manually input the desired wind force coefficient, Cf. Off of the main calculation page to the right there is a facility to assist the user in determining the value of Cf to be input if desired.
Second, I have added a new worksheet which addresses open structures without roofs. This worksheet could obviously be applied to open process-type structures as well as pipe/utility racks and bridges. In this worksheet, the user can input up to 4 different values of the force coefficient, Cf.
All the worksheets are independent and self contained, so that you can move them from one workbook to another. All the worksheets are protected, but not with a password. Please read the "DOC" worksheet for program details as well as assumptions and limitations.
