Calculation Preview










a) Basic equation refer to ASME VIII Div 1 : 2010 Edition Appendix 13 Calculation not considering weld joint plate to increase overall height with uniform thickness or higher than the one shown in RTI-PJ-008. The Value in Bracket shown in General Information under Rubber Buffer is the energy per bumper (in Joule) due to impact of the crane when the crane hit an End-stop. This value had been used in selection of rubber buffer using Document RTI-PJ-008. Any proposed changes of rubber sizes shall be checked against this value.

c) For Span exceeding 15m, Bottom Flange Side Plate is required to increase the weldment length of the bottom flange. (Refer to DRWG No EKFB-S1 for details). 
d) Part No. for Main Girder are Generic No and Not Applicable in SAP.
e) Pre-camber are not required for Single girder Standard Crane. However, optional input is allowed and shall be calculated by the Project Engineer based on the value given (Dead Weight ofCrane and SWL Deflection). and also from the client's requirement.
g) The Design Criteria:-
Allowable deflection due to SWL = L/750
Min Frequency of the main girder oscillation (Vertical)      = 2.28
Min Frequency of the main girder oscillation (Horizontal)   = 1.80
Longitudinal Travel Speed = 40m/min
h) Input for Electrical Box for long Travel holes positions are required due to differences in dimensions 
from different countries.
